Bourgogne Aujourd'hui

The magazine of Burgundy wine

Since the first edition in 1994, the Bourgogne Aujourd'hui magazine has been presenting all aspects of Burgundy wine: news, economy, history, wine-making, oenology, detailed debates, vintage and culture with of course, buyers guides. Serveral thousands of samples are blind tasted every year by the editorial staff and by our tasting commitee to help you choose the best Burgundy wines, from a "simple" Burgundy or Mâcon at a few euros per bottle, to the "grands crus" at 100 euros and up. Cuisine, inseparable from the great wines of Burgundy, is also superbly covered in the pages of our magazine with recipes, biographies of chefs, proposals of dishes and wines, and presentations of local products.

Beaujolais Aujourd'hui

Beaujolais Aujourd'hui Free addition

Is the Beaujolais part of Burgundy? This eternal question can be answered yes from a historical point of view, but no regarding geology and the style of wine. Nonetheless, Beaujolais is not only Beaujolais nouveau, far from it! It's a vineyard full of passionate producers by trade and truly producers "terroir" wine. Of course there is the Moulin-à-Vent, Morgon, Saint-Amour, Fleurie, and Brouilly vineyards; but also precious perles of regional names. Finally, Beaujolais wine has probably the best price/quality ratio in France today.

French cremant

French cremant Free addition

The AOC (certified origine) sparkling wines are most popular today. This is the result of ten years of considerable effort towards quality in all regions of production along with a price increase, and an often mediocre production of champagne. It's sometimes said, "It's better to drink a good bubbly wine than a bad champagne". No! We think a good sparkling wine is on the same level as a good champagne. At half the price... Once a year, in early december, the special issue "Crémants de France" presents sparking wine news with a rich catalogue for all categories: classic and special vintages, prestigious, white wines and rosés.

Bourgogne Aujourd'hui - special edition

Bourgogne Aujourd'hui - special edition

Every year, Bourgogne Aujourd'hui publishes a special issue whose content is both similar and different from the regular issues. Similar because the reader will find the same tone, layout, iconographic quality, and editorial discipline as Bourgogne Aujourd'hui. But different, because some of the classic columns (news, catalogue) are replaced by in-depth studies somewhat particular. For example, in 2011 the first special issue was dedicated to photography. In 2012 it presented the foundations of Burgundy wine: history, architecture, grape vines, wine festivals... Next, for 2013 (available beginning september): Monks and wine.
