The Nights of the Great Days are (almost) sold out
Still in Nuits-Saint-Georges, but this time under the town's market halls, the winegrowers' fair "Les Nuits aux Grands Grands Jours" was being held. There were concerns that the Saint-Vincent Tournante festival, taking place on the same weekend, would lead to a drop in attendance, but this proved unfounded; the number of visitors remained almost stable (about a hundred fewer) compared to the previous edition in March 2020, on the eve of the first lockdown. Yvan Dufouleur, the president of the ODG Nuits-Saint-Georges even noted a slightly more professional public than usual, which can probably also be explained by the holding of the Grands Jours de Bourgogne from this Monday, March 21.
50,000 visitors at the Saint-Vincent Tournante
Finally, the 78th edition of the Saint-Vincent Tournante wine festival welcomed 50,000 visitors last weekend (selling 17,000 tasting kits) across its three locations in Corpeau, Puligny-Montrachet, and Blagny, despite a challenging context marked by a resurgence of the epidemic and two postponements (from January 2021 to January 2022, then to March 2022). As is tradition, the Saint-Vincent Tournante began with the traditional, moving parade, which brought together 90 mutual aid societies from Burgundy and nearly 1,000 fellow winemakers. As announced by the Grand Master of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin See you in Couchey in 2023 for the 79th Saint-Vincent Tournante!
