Actress Alice Taglioni, director Cédric Klapisch and DJ Martin Solveig will preside over the upcoming Hospices de Beaune wine auction. Beaune , on Sunday, November 16.

The 165th Hospices de Beaune Wine Auction Beaune will be held on Sunday, November 16th, under the town's market halls. The names of the associations that will benefit from the sale of the charity coin known as the "Presidents' Coin*", a Pommard Premier cru rouge Les Rugiens Two emblematic lots of this sale have just been unveiled at Sotheby's in Paris. These are the EHCO association (Childhood and Disability in Côte-d'Or) and the Robert-Debré Institute for Children's Brain Research, two organizations dedicated to children with disabilities and their health, and which will be represented by iconic figures from the world of film and music: actress Alice Taglioni, director Cédric Klapisch, and DJ Martin Solveig. Furthermore, actress and director Lola Doillon will be the patron of this sale, which benefits the EHCO association, alongside her husband, Cédric Klapisch.

A 52nd cuvée in 2025

The Presidents' Coin will be among the lots in the sale, which each year auctions coins from the new vintage made from plots generously bequeathed over the centuries to the Hospices Civils de Beaune The proceeds from this sale help fund the operation and innovations of the Hospices Civils de Beaune This 165th edition will be marked by the introduction of a 52nd cuvée , A Clos of Vougeot grand cru , cuvée François Faiveley resulting from an exceptional donation from Domaine Faiveley , which on this occasion celebrates the bicentenary of domaine .

52 wines will be auctioned, including 34 red wines, 18 white wines, and 2 eaux-de-vie. In total: 428 barrels of wine rouge 111 pieces of wine blanc , including two half-pieces, 11 pieces of brandy and finally the Presidents' Piece, bringing the total to 551 pieces put up for auction.

A sale that began in 1859

A true highlight of the Burgundy wine calendar, the Hospices de Beaune Wine Auction Beaune Established in 1859, it is now recognized as the most famous wine auction in the world and a major cultural event in the region. It forms the highlight of a weekend of festivities known as the Three Glorious Days, during which enthusiasts and collectors flock to Beaune to acquire pieces from 141 plots, spread over the 60 hectares of the domaine of the Hospices.

No fewer than 86 climats make up the 52 cuvées offered this year. The 2025 edition is of particular importance, as it coincides with the 10th anniversary of the inscription of the Climats of the Burgundy vineyards on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Since 1945, a special coin, called the Presidents' Coin or Charity Coin, has been sold separately, for the benefit of associations selected by the Hospices.

* The cask containing this 2025 President's Piece was donated by La Manufacture Tonnelière La Grange, and crafted from exceptional oaks sourced from the Bertranges forest, by master cooper Dany Devilette.
