It's like a (bad) never-ending story... The traditional Jura event The Breakthrough of Yellow WineThe 24th edition of the Vin Jaune festival, initially scheduled for February 2021 but already postponed due to the health crisis to February 5th and 6th, 2022, will finally take place on April 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, still in Cramans, near the Royal Saltworks of Arc-et-Senant. New restrictions imposed by the authorities regarding wine tastings in the cellars and the management of food services (requirement for seated, stationary consumption, both indoors and outdoors) simply led the organizers to make a decision that would likely have been imposed upon them. The event will therefore be held in early April with the same program and format as in a "normal" year. Starting on Friday, there will be "Clavelinage," a professional blind tasting designed to showcase the best Vin Jaune wines, followed by a prestigious evening (tastings in three cellars with upscale cuisine paired with the wines). On weekends, after purchasing a tasting pack, it will be possible to taste the wide range of wines from the Jura along the wine cellars and even buying bottles on site. Let's now keep our fingers crossed for the Saint-Vincent Tournante 2022 scheduled for the end of January... Tasting package: €22 on Saturday, €20 on Sunday, €35 for both days.Prestige Evening: €45.
