The cold and fog did not prevent the 82nd edition of the Saint-Vincent Tournante from being a resounding success, even exceeding expectations. For two days, tens of thousands of visitors thronged the streets of Cheilly-lès- Maranges , Dezize-lès- Maranges and Sampigny-lès- Maranges .
Hosted on January 24th and 25th in the three villages of the Maranges The 82nd edition of the Saint-Vincent Tournante was a resounding success, drawing record crowds. Around 40,000 visitors were counted on Saturday, the first day of the festival, and nearly 60,000 over the entire weekend, despite wintry but mild weather for the season. This represents approximately 20,000 more people than last year. Ladoix Serrigny!
From Saturday morning, the streets were decorated with the theme " Maranges "In music" welcomed a large number of visitors, who came to attend the traditional parade of the brotherhoods, taste the collective vintages in the cellars open from 11 a.m. and enjoy the many activities scattered throughout the villages throughout the day.
The winegrowers of appellation contributed significantly to the event's success by offering seven special collective cuvées created for the occasion, totaling 15,000 bottles. These cuvées were available in 15 tasting rooms, located in the heart of the three villages The 30,000 tasting kits planned for the weekend were sold out and 12,000 bottles were opened.
The festival would not have been possible without the commitment of local residents and volunteers. Nearly 1,000 volunteers handled the reception, logistics, and security. Eighty-two Saint Vincent societies, representing all of Burgundy, paraded very early Saturday morning with approximately 700 participants, accompanied by several brass bands, along a 7.8 km route through the villages .
A festive weekend where the streets resounded with brass bands, laughter, and glasses raised in praise of the wines of Maranges .
Heading towards Volnay
The 2027 Saint-Vincent Tournante is already being prepared! village of Volnay , in Côte de Beaune will host the 83rd edition on January 30 and 31, 2027. Planted exclusively in pinot noir , this appellation includes 29 climates classified in Premier Cru , on a total area of 242 hectares, of which approximately 144 hectares are Premier Cru .
Jean-François Curie, Grand Master of the Brotherhood of Knights of Tastevin announced the location of the next party, reminding everyone that Volnay had already hosted the event 41 years ago. The organizing committee has already begun preparations.
