The new issue (157) of Bourgogne Aujourd'hui is now available online, with a new, more modern, streamlined title logo and a new baseline. "Vins et art de vivre" (Wines and the art of living) has been replaced by "Vins, terroirs et œnotourisme" (Wines, terroirs and wine tourism), more in line with the magazine's content as it has evolved over the last few years.
As for the content of this issue, it is, as always, highly diversified.* Covid-19, Trump tax, Brexit! What a year for the global economy, and for Burgundy wines in particular. The dossier in this issue shows that the superb momentum of the early 2010s is still having an effect. In this issue's "Encounters" section, Burgundy Aujourd'hui talks to Gilles de Larouzière-Henriot, the new President of the Association des Climats du Vignoble de Bourgogne, a World Heritage Site since 2015. Contrary to what one might think, nothing is definitively taken for granted, and if the test has indeed been scored, the time has come to transform it.* Crus du Mâconnais, Savigny-les-Beaune, Chorey-les-Beaune... In red as in white, the 2018 vintage reveals its strengths and weaknesses, tasting after tasting! In this issue, you'll find a few hundred excellent bottles to stock your cellar, starting at €10 a bottle.* How did the 2015 vintage, the first in a long (and ongoing) series of "sunny" vintages, evolve? The reds are still very lively, as expected. As for the whites, they suffered more from the heat... as we feared they would!* In this issue 157, Bourgogne Aujourd'hui presents Burgundy's estates in all their diversity: Lucien Boillot, in Gevrey-Chambertin, incorruptible representative of Burgundy's classical school, and the domaine de... Flavigny-Alesia, in a region where everything remains to be (re)done. Enjoy your reading and your thirst!
