Thomas Seiter will join Maison Louis Jadot next November before taking over as president on January 1, 2023. Hewill succeed Pierre-Henry Gagey, a prominent figure in Burgundy over the past few decades, who succeeded his father André Gagey and has led the renowned Beaune-based Maison for 31 years.His son,Thibault Gagey, will assume the role of managing director. A graduate of INSEEC and Berkeley University, Thomas Seiter, 47, had been thegeneral manager of Maisons Bouchard Père & Fils ( Beaune ) and William Fèvre ( Chablis ) within the family group Maisons & Domaines Henriot since 2018,thus returning to Burgundy after a childhood spent in Gevrey-Chambertin. Thomas Seiter began his career at Moët Hennessy, from 1998 to 2012, initially as a financial analyst before assumingresponsibilities in Commercial and Marketing Management and General Management within various subsidiaries of the group(Hong Kong and Singapore), as well as at the holding company; he then took over the management of several players in the Wines &Spirits sector, notably the Champagne Maison Charles Heidsieck (EPI group).
ABOUT THE LOUIS JADOT MAISON Founded in 1859, the Beaune-based Maison Louis Jadot is today one of the most prestigious in Burgundy. Itcultivates 225 hectares of vines located in the finest Climats, from regional appellations toGrand Cru vineyards, and produces only Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) wines from the heart of Burgundy . The maison are located in the Côte-d'Or, as well as in the Mâconnais (Ferret) and Beaujolais ( Château des Jacques). In 2012, Frédéric Barnier succeeded Jacques Lardière as the maison 's technical director.
